Cult Of Mac Meets Brompton

The Brompton is not a new bike. It’s not even new to me. But it is the best folding bike around, and it will change how you travel long distances, too. I’ve had mine ever since I recovered enough from a broken leg to hobble up to the local bike shop and order one. That was a few years ago, and since then the bike has come with me to three different continents, traveling on planes, trains, trams, automobiles and buses.
You can even ride it to the airport and pack it up when you get there.

Brompton Goes To Poland

From Berlin Germany to Kaliningrad Poland, 585 kilometres covered on a Brompton folder. After this trip on a folding bike Andrew is keen and looking forward to be off again to a new adventure. As he says the Brompton performed well, with not even a puncture. He also reports that a minor issue while traveling on our favourite little bikes is the wear of the back tyre.

Brompton Luggage Block Trick

When traveling on a Brompton folder, using a T-Bag with the luggage block sitting on the front of the frame is a no brainer. Steering is not impaired at all as it places the weight on the frame; in fact in my experience it makes the bicycle even more stable to ride despite carrying substantial weight. The T Bag sitting on the clamp has only one minor design hitch in the release lever that is often hidden by the large bag and not as easy to access. A nifty trick indeed.
