Loved the "should I wait until dark"! As a dedicated roadie myself I too felt really conspicuous when I bought my Brompton. Felt I should be carrying a big sign saying 'It's not mine, it's a gift for a friend'! Now I love it,and can't believe how many people are interested in the Brompton. Japan sounds beautiful, maybe I will be able to tour there someday myself.
